Currency not converting after changing base currency.

Whenever I change my base currency and go to check my store, the currency does not exchange to the equal value of the new currency. Instead, it takes the value of the old currency and makes the new currency the same amount. It was formally in Uganda Shillings and an item was set at 200,000 UGX (Uganda Shillings) was then changed to $200,000 USD (United States) instead of $54 USD.

Hi, @Harold99!
Thanks for reaching out in our Community Forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.

I understand that you are experiencing some issues with how your currency is being displayed in your shop. Allow me to provide some context:

When you use Shopify Payments, changing your store currency does not affect the currency used by your markets. However, if you are not using Shopify Payments, changing your store currency will update the currency for all of your markets to match. You can learn more about the changes to your primary market when you change your store currency.

If you are still having issues, we may need to access your account to gather more information. While we are unable to provide account-specific support through the Community Forums, we would be happy to continue assisting you through our Help Center. To access our live support, you can ask the Virtual Shopify Assistant to "contact support." It will then guide you on the next steps to connect with a team member who can assist you further.

Let me know how that goes!
