Custom Payment Gateway Integration with Shopify

My shopify store is based in Azerbaijan, and my bank: Kapital Bank has offered me their payment gateway to connect using APIs. After working weeks with my developer the payment gateway has been completed, with the bank-hosted payment form and a partially developed Shopify app already in place. The remaining task is to connect the gateway to the Shopify checkout.

My developer has not been able to figure out how to add the redirect to the “Pay now” button through the shopify app”. We do not have shopify plus so we can online do this from the custom app and have been stuck on this point for days.

We have also been losing out on sales so can someone please help me figure this out, if there are any experts here. Thank you!
