Custom shipping method and disable need for a shipping address

Hi everyone,

At the end of the summer, we have several contracts with schools - each school has a personalized page with the supplies list that are needed for each grade/class.
We ship the orders directly to the school free of charge (pre packed either by family or by class, depending on how the school wants it).

I am trying to figure out a way if there is a way that by entering a coupon code (each code is unique per school) - it would deactivate the need to enter a shipping address. In addition, the coupon would also activate a customized shipping method "free shipping to school a" only for that school.

Does anyone know if this is possible with an app or something?

Hello,

You cannot disable shipping address fields but you can have a customized shipping method for schools using the ShipRight app. Here’s how:

1. Assign a customer tag like "school" to each school.
2. Now open the ShipRight app and click the "Add a new rule" button.
3. Click “Add a new condition” and select "Customer tags".
4. Choose "Hide if not found" and enter "school" in the "Customer tags" field.
5. Enter "free shipping to school" if that is your customized shipping option name in the  " Additional shipping methods" field.
6. Save the rule by clicking the "Save" button.

Now, customers associated with a specific school will only see the customized free shipping option for that school.
