Customer can't pay custom invoice with credit card

I created a custom invoice for a customer who wanted a wholesale order. Once I sent the invoice he said there was no way for him to pay for it directly via the invoice. He sent the money via PayPal, but for future customers, how can I fix this? Why is the button to pay via credit card not showing up on the invoice?

Could you clarify, are you using the Wholesale app (Shopify Plus), or did you use the draft order feature to create the order?

I used the create an order button. I need to create an invoice for a customer but they said they couldn't pay it with a credit card when I sent them the invoice.
