Customer payment method id - is it actually validated?

Hi,

I'd like to know when a customer payment method id in Shopify is actually validated.

I was able to perform a request for subscription creation with fake data, and Shopify created a payment method id which was later found as "Bogus".

1. Do Shopify verify if the given payment methods are validated (in subscriptions)?

2. Is there an API or a webhook I can listen to/update when it's Bogus/not validated?

I'm currently subscribed to CUSTOMER_PAYMENT_METHODS_CREATE/UPDATE webhooks, but I saw that I get  Bogus ids.
