Customers haveing Insufficient funds Issue on Subscriptions

Hi, we recently experienced a high 'failed transaction rate' on our subscriptions using PayWhirl, our customers' subscriptions used to be seamless weeks/months ago then all of a sudden 10% of my customers' recurring payments failed recently.

We checked the settings on the PayWhirl app, it seems to be fine. Is there anyone who's experiencing the same issue recently?

Hi Chris, oh so 10% is average. We have the subscription program since Nov 2022. Upon checking, some of the customer's cards are either inactive or expired but it doesn't make sense why some of the cards that are still active and subscribed were having errors & failing payments.

Yes, upon checking on the settings we have a retry settings in place together with an automated email.

Yes, there is a delay atleast 24 hours between each try. We've tried to reach to PayWhirl - but the only solution so far is that they added a new text on the email notification for customers who are using Shop Pay to update their account there.

Have you got any solution on how to get to customers with expired/inactive payment cards/methods?
