Customizing Packing Slips

I have a metafield on product pages for a warehouse location. I want it to show up on the packing slip for my warehouse staff so when they pick orders they know where the products are located. How can I get it to be added to the packing slip?

Unfortunately, metafields cannot be accessed directly in the packing slip template.

As an alternative, you can store the metafield data in the line-item properties. This will allow you to access the metafield value within your packing slip
template.
