Default shipping packaging based on product and quantity ordered

PLEASE PLEASE Shopify can you add a configurable matrix feature to shipping where I could add defaults for packaging based on the product ordered and quantity. This defaulting would occur before the select package/carrier list is displayed. It is a total pain to have to go through this manually and causes unnecessary mistakes to be made. Just defaulting a package or "last one used" is too basic when you have a large amount of orders. For example: 1 of product X would default small padded envelope, 2-3 of product X would default medium padded envelope, 4-6 of product X would default large padded envelope. From my research, this basic feature would benefit many people and give your shipping more benefits over competitors. I have tried other apps, but like using Shopify shipping.
