Different Payment options for Different Countries (HELP BY EXPERT NEEDED)

Hello! Cash on Delivery is very important to our business. We want to offer cash on delivery for Greek customers only and offer other payment options for Cypriot customers (we do not wish to include COD for Cyprus). How would that be possible? Is there a way we can do that with the help of a Shopify Expert and/or a change of our Shopify plan? Thanks a lot in advance!

Currently it's only possible to do this on Shopify Plus, this is because on Shopify all payment methods are global so they will be shown at checkout for all your customers. On Shopify Plus you are allowed to apply edits to the checkout process so it's technically possible to hide the COD option if the customer is from Cyprus. On normal Shopify plans unfortunately this is not possible.

The solution that we see from most stores in Greece with your same issue is to change their COD payment method name to "Cash on Delivery (GREECE ONLY)", this way you should considerably reduce orders from Cyprus made with COD.

To apply this change go to Online Store -> Themes -> click on the Actions button on your main theme -> click on Edit languages -> in the search bar search for "Cash on Delivery" or the greek translation of "Cash on Delivery" -> wait for results and change your COD payment method name by modifying the Cash on delivery label field

You can offer Cash on Delivery (COD) exclusively to Greek customers while hiding it for others using the PayRules: Hide Payment Methods app. To hide the Cash on Delivery option for Cypriot customers, follow these steps:

1. Choose Cash on Delivery from the Select payment methods field.
2. Select Hide if not found from the Countries field.
3. Lastly choose Greece from the drop down list of Countries field.

Now only your Greek customers can see the COD option at the checkout page.
