Disabling the shipping confirmation email/SMS

I use a 3rd party shipping software that handles all the automated shipping emails/SMS but customers get double sent their shipping confirmations because Shopify has one that's set to be sent out by default. I checked in the settings and can't find out how to disable it. It reads: "Sent automatically to the customer when their order is fulfilled (if you select this option)." When I don't see an option there to unselect it...all help is appreciated!

Hi @Soco,

 

You can disable shipping notification emails in Shopify in two steps. From your Shopify admin, click Settings in the lower left. Then, click Checkout. Scroll down to Order Processing and select Automatically fulfill the order’s line items; then, uncheck Notify customers of their shipment below that setting. Then, navigate back to the Settings page and click Notifications. Scroll down to Shipping and uncheck the Out for delivery and Delivered options.

This is not a good solution because we don't want to automatically fulfill an order after it has been paid, why would we do that? This is only good for digital items and we only sell physical products.
