discount code field in cart page error- 3rd party theme

Hello all,

I am using a third party theme and I just found out, that my discount codes are only working in checkout process and not cart page. Is there anything I can do to make it work in cart page too? I think that can be a loss of customers... if not maybe there is a way to hide discount field on cart page?

Thanks for your post, I'm happy to look into this with you. 

Which theme are you using on your store? Was it custom built (by yourself or a developer)? I ask because themes from the Shopify Theme Store typically don't have a discount code option on the cart page at all, so it is likely that was added as a custom feature.
