Discount Code is working outside of parameters

I have created a  discount code scheduled to start in 3 days.

It is for 10% off 12 or more items in a specified collection of items, for a specified group of customers.

I logged in as a wholesale customer to test the code and found:

   1) The code is applying a discount but it is not supposed to be active yet. 

   2) The code allowed 6* items to checkout with the code applied. The minimum qty set for the discount is 12.

        *6 items is minimum qty required for a wholesale order on our store

So...does anyone have ideas of why this is happening and how to fix it?
