hey guys,
So I have an automatic discount for free shipping for customers in specific post/zip codes. Sometimes I get those odd customers who will put in the right street address but put in the wrong postcode on purpose to get free delivery.
Thing is, all my goods are shipped via courier and the goods will be delivered even if it's the wrong postcode because it's the right address and suburb name but only the post code is wrong and my couriers use google maps.
Is there any way of the checkout preventing this? I know it has a correction feature "did you mean X zip code?" but doesn't stop customers from bypassing it
If your customers are located in Australia, we can help you check the suburb/postcode information using our app JsRates. If the customer's suburb/postcode doesn't match, we can use only the suburb information for the free shipping (list of suburbs within your free shipping postcode list). We will help you with the setup. JsRates has a free demo plan to install and setup the rates. You will also need the third party calculated shipping rate activated on your store to use JsRates at checkout.
Hi Onyx. At the risk of offering another third-party solution (which may not be what you're looking for), this is something you can do with Starshipit too. Our app will both automatically correct the addresses and flag them to you within the interface so you can check them yourself. Happy to chat more about this if you're interested!
