Does order refund affect the next payout in online sales?

Let's say I refunded an order of $100 and Shopify was unable to withdraw funds from my account. If I get an order of $150 a few days later, does the refund get netted out and I receive $50 on the next payout? Or do I need to first refund the $100? My bank doesn't support withdrawals from Shopify.
