Does Shopify payments fee includes sales tax?

Does the Shopify Payments transaction fee (2.9%+$0.30 for Basic plan) include sales tax?  I'm in Ontario, Canada, so that would be 13% HST.

I had treated these fees as bank charges, which would be tax exempt.  But I'd like confirmation, because there could be some sales tax credits I'm missing out on, if Shopify is actually charging tax on these fees.
