Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
I was told by Shopify to create a custom item and there would be no shipping charge when they pay. I've had to refund the shipping because it added shipping to the invoice. How can I send an invoice with no shipping charges?

When you go create draft order, either don't add shipping (you can just cross out the shipping if it automatically adds it) or just make it free or $0. That basically makes it free for the user.
I did that. I had $0 for the shipping. I don't understand why it added it when the person paid for it.
Can you share an example screenshot where you don't add shipping and create a draft order? I want to see the steps you are doing so I can replicate that from my end. The other option is we can get on a call and you can show me what you did exactly so I can see what issue you are facing. Let me know.
I had this happen to me on a draft order today. My draft order said zero for shipping and the Shop App added on shipping. It has to be on Shopify’s end. I have used Shopify for over 4 years and this is a first for me.
If you are still looking for a solution, I also did this and if you simply do not select the shipping button in the draft order page, it will add the shipping. What you have to do is actually click on the normal shipping rate- mine is set to standard shipping. It then takes you to the shipping charges and you can set it as free shipping there. Then when you send the invoice, the customer will see free shipping, not a shipping charge.

I would also love an answer to this. I've done it before and it worked just fine but just in the past couple of months it always adds shipping.
Need help Shopify. Same issue here. When I create my order through the app shipping is left at zero dollars but customer is billed when they pay invoice.
