E-Book Not Being Sent to Buyers After Payment – How to Fix?

Hi everyone,

I've set up a Shopify storefront with an e-book as my main product. I've integrated Razorpay for payment processing. The issue I'm facing is that after a customer makes a purchase, they only receive a payment receipt but not the actual e-book download link in their inbox.

I want the e-book to be automatically delivered to the buyer's email after successful payment.

Here’s what I’ve done so far:

• Set up the product as a digital download
• Connected Razorpay as the payment gateway
• Tested the checkout process, and the payment goes through successfully
• However, only the payment receipt is sent—there’s no email with the e-book

Could this be an issue with Shopify’s digital download settings, Razorpay’s integration, or something else? How can I fix this so the e-book is automatically emailed to customers after they complete the payment?

Would really appreciate any guidance or step-by-step solutions.

To automatically deliver the e-book after a successful purchase, you’ll need to use a Shopify app like Digital Downloads or SendOwl, which will handle the delivery of digital products. Shopify's native Digital Downloads app should allow you to attach a download link to the order confirmation email. The issue could be with the integration between Razorpay and Shopify not triggering the email automatically. Check your Shopify settings to ensure the digital product is correctly linked, or try using SendOwl for a more seamless experience with digital deliveries.

Hey, Thank you so much for the response! I've tried all the above steps and somehow it's still not sending out the download link once the payment is done. Any other suggestions as to what I can try and do to fix it?

Hey a few questions

-when an order goes through Razorpay, does it go to the "official" Shopify thank you page?

-is an order created on Shopify order once it's purchased and once the payment is not Pending anymore?

-did you try another app such as Big Download?
