Entering First transaction=excess charge

Hello,

We are just starting off with shoplift and wanted to understand the charges incurred. We are on the basic plan so 29E a month plus 2.2% + 0.25c per transaction. We noted that on a transaction we put through for 14.50E that we will receive 13.81 which would be 12c more than we were expecting to pay in charges. Just wondering what accounts for this 12c,
