PayPal error 10486 indicates that the customer needs to contact PayPal, as noted in the API Error Codes developer document:
If you're seeing any other error codes when you view payment events from abandoned checkouts, please check PayPal's documentation to determine next steps. I recommend that you also test PayPal using your own personal account (a different account than the one your payouts are sent to).
Regarding code 10486, please encourage your customers to contact PayPal, as PayPal will need to resolve the issue on the customer's account. PayPal provides information about each of their error codes here in the API Error Codes developer document. Error 10486 in particular doesn't have much detailed information behind it, though it does appear to be an error caused on the customer's end:
This error code typically indicates that the customer needs to use an alternate payment method. I would advise that your customer contacts PayPal for help with their account in these cases.

Today i get my first sale that my customer using Paypal but this same error appears. Can you please take a look at it too. Am pretty sure ive all setup with my store and Paypal Express Checkout.

PayPal's error 10486 indicates a failed payment on the customer's end, so it's suggested that the customer contact PayPal for support with their account. Before this attempted transaction, had you tried testing PayPal? Please let me know if you're getting the same error code when you try to run through a PayPal order with a PayPal account that's different from the one your payouts are directed to.

Based on the previous abandoned checkouts I've seen with PayPal error code 10486, the customer needs to contact PayPal regarding the account they've tried to pay with. You can review these details by viewing the payment events from each abandoned checkout under Orders > Abandoned checkouts > History in your admin.
I would like to ensure that your PayPal gateway is set up correctly and is functioning as expected, so I can absolutely send you an email to investigate further. Have you been able to test PayPal yourself, or have other transactions gone through successfully with the PayPal Express gateway on your store so far?

Hi Sophia I also have the same problem, I just launched a new store and I had 4 orders so far and all of them has failed because of paypal error 10486.
So I decided to test paypal express and it failed on me as well first time it just declined then i chose diffrent payment method and it failed again. The problem is I am testing a facebook ad campaign and it is costing me a lot of cash. This is not a client issue because 4 people's paypal failed including mine. So there must be a bigger issue here.

I'm sorry to hear that you had 4 attempted orders result in PayPal error code 10486. Before or after those 4 orders, did you have any successful transactions processed through the PayPal Express gateway on your store? Have you contacted PayPal regarding the order you attempted?
