Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Dear Shopify,
You really need to address this issue! I have over 100 orders I need to ship. I already purchased around 50 labels and was working through my order list, and all of a sudden I got this message:
Unable to purchase shipping labels:
Naturally, I sent an email, and got an automated response with a ticket number. Then nothing since yesterday...
I searched the support forum and saw that other customers have run into this issue in the past. A Shopify support person suggested clearing cookies and cache in the browser, so I tried that. No change...
I tried a different browser and the same error message appeared.
The primary reason I chose Shopify was the integrated shipping label feature, which saves me having to re-type customer shipping addresses into the USPS site to buy shipping labels. It was working great but then it just ground to a halt, with no warning. I really must get these shipments out today!
This is a critical error, and needs to be escalated to the highest priority!!!

Digging around a little more, I came across this phrase:
"daily billing threshold for shipping labels" but I can find no explanation for what it is, why it is, and how much it is. Anybody know?

OK, it looks like this is just the threshold at which a bill for shipping labels is created, so it likely has nothing to do with the issue at hand.
Wondering if you ever figured out what the issue was here. I am having the same issue on my VERY FIRST order. So there is no threshold problem for me since this is quite literally the one and only order I've ever had. I have a 2 hour wait to speak chat with someone at Shopify. This is not how I intended to experience my first sale. Especially since I chose to use ShopifyShipping over third parties to avoid any issues and have quicker customer service.
Afraid not! After a few days, a member of their risk team sent me a cryptic reply saying that I should now be able to purchase shipping labels. When I pressed them to learn why it happened, they only told me it wasn't because of a threshold or anything I did wrong when shipping. I can only conclude that it was some kind of security protocol they follow for new accounts. Fortunately, everything has worked fine since then.
Noted, thanks for getting back to me! I'll email support as a fallback. Cheers.
