Extra fee for payments Klarna via Mollie

I would like to enable the payment method Klarna via Mollie. But to my knowledge, alternative payments methods should be free if you use shopify payments. But now I see that shopify will charge 2% for this function. Is this correct?

 

It is a very popular way to pay with in the netherland, but if shopify charges 2% fee and klarna charges 2,99% fee, should be way to much.

As stated on our pricing page, stores are charged transaction fees for using a third-party payment provider:

Are you using Shopify Payments in the Netherlands, and are looking to integrate Klarna on your store? While this isn't currently available to do, I understand that Klarna is a popular payment method in your region. I'll pass your feedback along to our internal development team, so that they're aware of the increasing interest in using Klarna as a way to accept payments via Shopify Payments Netherlands. While I can't guarantee if or when this feature will be implemented, you can keep an eye out on our Changelog here for the latest updates to our platform.

unfortunately! There is No way i wil pay €1 and 5% fee in total for just one order. Isn’t there any other option to pay later, like riverty? Or is this all with a fee of 2%.

At this stage, it looks like all the Buy Now Pay Later options for the Netherlands involve installing a third-party payment gateway, which means that transaction fees would apply.

 

I totally understand that this isn't ideal, and as mentioned previously I've passed on your thoughts to our development team as feedback about this matter.
