I need to file a damage claim on a package shipped via my store using UPS. The box was crushed (badly, its a 200 lb rated crush box) but when I go to file a claim, the UPS software states that the claim must be submitted from the account the tracking number was shipped from (it was shipped via my Webstore which is not linked to my UPS account) so I dont have that number and cant find any reference to what it should be anywhere.
Any help is appreciated..
We need answers shopify! I've tried contacting UPS and shopify and no one seems to understand the problem going on here?
Looks like the only solution is NOT TO USE UPS via Shopify. I sell items that are hundreds of dollars each, not having any way to make a claim against the carrier when they screw something up is ridiculous and unacceptable especially when Shopify is making money from each UPS package
I called UPS once, All i had to do was verify sender, ship from, and more details on the order. I don't know if it is just for filing a claim online.
For anyone that found this thread by searching on Google or in the boards. I was searching for an answer and found a help page with this info. Emailed them and it opened a support ticket which I assume will end with a claim and then refund.
