First Data Payeezy is not supported after January 15th 2024

Hi Team,

We are receiving the message in Shopify that First Data Payeezy is not supported anymore after January 2024. We use First Data Payeezy for Payment Gateway.

Is the app being replaced by the Clover app as Clover has acquired First Data Payeezy .. First Data Payeezy (Clover)

Or it is totally going away. FYI, I have not seen any apps for First Data Payeezy (Clover) on Shopify apps.

Holy moley, Shopify isn't going to accept Clover as a payment gateway.  They really are going to dump First Data as a supported payment provider, a company I've been associated with for 20 years.  This is terrible news.

No answer from anyone at Shopify about not adding Clover/First Data as a payment method after January 15, 2024 when First Data Payeezy is removed from the approved payment providers list?  I guess this means all First Data merchants are out of luck.

As of 1215 pm Pacific Time, it appears that Shopify still allows orders to be placed with First Data Pazeezy (now bouncing automatically to Clover) as the gateway.  I just received an order which went through as usual. So no change or loss of gateway yet.  Perhaps because?...

1.  The Payeezy Gateway ID was taken over by Clover, and all such purchases automatically go to the Clover dashboard. 

or

2.  Shopify merchants who already had the First Data gateway set up with their stores were "grandfathered in" and (for now) need not worry that they will have to secure a new payment gateway.  Merchants now signing up with Shopify are the ones who will not be able to choose First Data as their payment provider.  

Just speculation, since the original poster's inquiry has never received any response or explanation on this forum.
