Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello!
Our Shopify store is set up with a $5 flat shipping rate, a $8 flat shipping rate (both only applicable to certain items) and then otherwise we use our standard weight-based shipping options for all other products. When a customer adds a product that qualifies for the $5 or $8 shipping, and then other items that do NOT qualify, Shopify is applying the flat shipping rate so we are losing money on shipping costs because they're paying $8 instead of $30+ for some orders. How do I deactivate the flat shipping rates when a customer adds non-qualifying products?
Thanks!
Having a similar issue - we have flat rate shipping based on their total order value. However, there are certain heavy products that need to have a higher shipping rate, regardless of the total order value. Need a solution to be able to pick which shipping rate is activated if those products are in the cart.
Hi @kennedy207,
When using multiple shipping profiles, if orders contain products from different profiles or locations, this will result in combined rates at the checkout and the higher rate which is $8 here is considered and charged. Currently, the only available workaround would be to use an app to set up more specific shipping rules.
