Free Product - Check out

Is it possible to offer a free product through the use of a 100% off discount code, but not require the customer to input their credit card info at check out?  We are trying to send out samples in this manner.

Thanks for reaching out in our Community forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.

You can definitely set up your discounts in a way that your customer does not need to input their credit card information at checkout to receive a free product. From your Shopify Admin, head over to the Discounts tab and select Create Discount. From there, select Amount off products, and fill out the information like so: 

Once your discount is active, your customers will be able to select the product, input the discount code and complete the checkout without entering their credit card information. However, they will need to input their personal details like email address, name, and address. Here is an example of how the Payment section will be:
