Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi,
I really need some help.
I can't figure out something.
I use starshippit, and also shopify.
I want to offer free shipping on some products when the order is over $300, but not others.
I have thousands of products and have seen you can do it by creating another shipping profile, is there any other way?
And if i have 2 shipping profiles, will it merge at the cart?
Hello @LaraIskowicz
I believe I can assist you with that. I'm from the VTN Checkout Plus team, and our app is capable of handling this. https://apps.shopify.com/vtn-checkout-plus
Let me know if you'd like me to set up rules for you. We can establish free shipping rules based on the total cart price, and you can also specify certain products for this free shipping offer.

Hi LaraIskowicz,
You must use shipping rates for this.
Here's why a shipping discount or delivery customization (whether created in an app or otherwise) would not be sufficient:
Some options you can try include:

Hi @LaraIskowicz,
Yes, Shopify automatically merges shipping rates from 2 shipping profiles for mixed cart scenarios (product A from Profile 1, product B from Profile 2).
Solving your scenario with additional shipping profile can be unhandy, I even not sure it can be solved considering a $300 threshold. You probably don't want your shipping rates to be summed up if the threshold is not reached.
With our Calcurates app you may apply free shipping to products with a specific tag value, collection, vendor, SKU or even metafield keeping ALL your products in the General profile. We can help you with a free initial app setup for free.
