Free Standard Shipping Issues

Good afternoon.  I am looking for a way to offer free standard shipping.

Here are the issues I am currently having.

1. When I create a discount to offer "Free Shipping over $50", the discount applies to all shipping rates.

2. I tried a workflow but couldn't figure out how to make it work.

3. I tried several apps, including some mentioned in other threads, but still couldn't get it to work.

4. I tried adding special rates to the US shipping profile and that works, but for every order, not just over $50.

I want to be able to create a discount that offers free shipping only on selected rates like "USPS Priority" and "UPS Ground" only and will leave other rates at their regular price.  I would also like it to still show approximate delivery days as it does now.

What are your suggestions?

Hey , You can set up free shipping for specific shipping methods by configuring shipping zones and rates. To do this, navigate to your Shopify admin, then go to Settings > Shipping and delivery. From there, edit the shipping zone that applies to your customers. Within the shipping zone settings, you can add or edit shipping rates. Set up a rate for USPS Priority and UPS Ground with a condition that applies free shipping for orders over $50. If you're using the default discount app, ensure your discount rules are set up to apply free shipping for orders meeting the criteria you've defined.

Thank you.  I've created the profile as suggested, but I don't see where I can set the rates for selected shipping methods like USPS Priority and UPS Ground to $0 for orders over $50.  Also, I am using the default discount app that comes with Shopify.

Good news!  I created the rates with the free shipping.  I also had to add back the NDA and faster services, so the customer has choices.  I also had to delete the discount from the discount app, because it would add free shipping to all services.  The only drawback is that it doesn't show estimated delivery time.  That's fine, because it will show when it ships.  Thank you for your help.

How about setting up a free shipping discount code that would apply only to usps ground, can this be done?

This can't be done natively, but you can do this easily using Advanced Free Shipping.  The app lets you create shipping discount codes for specific shipping methods (with lots of other options too).
