Generating Shopify Payouts in Test Payment Mode

Is it possible to turn ON the test payment mode and pay orders using dummy credit cards and then generate payout transactions from these orders?

You can enable test mode for Shopify Payments and simulate successful transactions or unsuccessful transactions using our test credit card numbers. However, as test orders aren't actually processed through the payment gateway, you wouldn't be able to generate a report for the transactions under the payouts.

That being said, if you're looking to generate a report for the transactions, then you could consider processing an actual order. However, it's also important to note that the credit card processing fees aren't returned to the merchants when refunding an order, so I'd recommend adjusting the price of the items in your tests. Furthermore, it's also not recommended to process orders using the store owner's credit card so that you can avoid any potential issues the banking partners involved.
