Hide hopify Express checkout - possible via app developper?

Hi everybody.

I'm still bother and surprised that shopify forces us to display express checkout on checkout page. I'm tired to get my customer choosing paypal and having a commission more to pay to Elon Musk anytime I'm doing a sale.

This morning I discovered that there is 3 app on the shopify app store which are proposing this service:

https://apps.shopify.com/easyhide (1$/month)

https://apps.shopify.com/hide-paypal (free and not working today)

1$/month is not that expensive. Still I would be pissed to pay monthly for a display:none..

but so it seems that by being shopify developper, we can get access to deeper change and therefore finally hide this express checkout ourselves. Does anybody as some info about the dev part and how to make it working without montly paying?
