Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
There is no Liqpay in the list of available payment providers for Ukraine, but I would like to make it possible for customers to pay for orders through it. Can I connect Liqpay to my store and what do I need for this?
Hi @Anastasiia_D,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community! I'd be happy to provide some assistance with third-party payment providers, to ensure this gets resolved.
Shopify has integrated with over 100 different third-party payment providers to allow you to continue accepting credit cards online. Due to this, I encourage you to check out this complete list of all available payment providers within the Ukraine.
As the third-party payment provider Liqpay is not on this list, I'd encourage you to select another payment provider that has been integrated with Shopify. Alternatively, you can look into contacting Liqpay directly for clarification on whether or not it can be customized into your online shop. They will be able to provide further information on this.
For more information on this, you can check our Third-Party Payment Providers documentation as it touches on this further.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Liqpay provides documentation on integrating their API into an online store to accept online payments in the form of an in-store widget. Do I need to develop an APP for shopify to add this payment system?
In this case, will Liqpay be considered an "external provider" and I will be charged an additional fee by Shopify?
Hi @Anastasiia_D,
Thank you for the prompt response.
The best thing you can do is connect with Liqpay directly for clarification on the integration process and fees. They will be able to share more information with you on using the API and ensuring it's successfully added to the shop.
Once you have more information on how to successfully connect the payment provider to the shop, please feel free to follow up with us here. This will allow our advisor team to take a closer look and provide clarification on any fees that would apply.
Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Hi Anastasiia. How you've fixed this problem? Thanks
Hi. Likpay is still not integrated with Shopify =( Please don't take Fondy as my recommendation, but it's the only integration I know of that allows you to accept online payments in stores with Shopify.
Thanks for your reply! Yeah, I've tried Fondy...They declined me without any reasoning and explanations, and ignored all my questions. Now I'm looking for something else. Looks like there is the possibility to connect LiqPay somehow through API, but it requires good code knowledge. Anyway, thanks, good luck!
Hi guys! The latest news like 30min ago is that Fondy was banned as a payment method by NBU after it was sold to the Georgian company. Fondy's support claimed they continue working and the official statement will be published later. So we can only wait for what happens next.
Here's the news https://forbes.ua/news/nbu-viklyuchiv-kompaniyu-vlasnika-servisu-fondy-z-reestru-platizhnikh-sistem-...
I had chat with fondy support right now. They suggested to open an equiring in Raifaizen or two othe no-name banks to proceed with their services. I am shoked. Has anyone connected Fondy-Raifaizen already?
Hello, I will try opening bank account in Raifassen as it is the only choice as far as i know. And will leave feedback here if it will work
'
You can also add Bank Deposit as a payment method and deactivate Fondy. That's what I did for my client.
Thanks, not a workable solution but still a good point will use it today till i solve the problem.
https://shopify.dev/docs/api/admin-rest/2023-10/resources/payment:The Payment resource is compatible only with direct payment gateways. For a list of all supported payment gateways, see Direct and external credit card payment providers.
As for the development of the API of the payment system, we investigated this possibility about 2 years ago and came to the conclusion that it is not possible until Shopify signs an agreement with PrivatBank (LiqPay) and adds it to the list 😞
If I'm wrong, let me know.
These guys state that they can connect LiqPay with Shopify : https://trademinister.com.ua/blogs/apps
