Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi Community,
I am before launching my store and trying to get rid of all the problems I am facing.
Is there any solution to make PayPal Express checkout add Shipping fee? Maybe there is the same problem with other express checkout methods, like Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc, I just haven't tried it yet.

Hi, @Organiqa-D!
When a customer checks out using the PayPal Express button, they will be taken to PayPal where their shipping and billing addresses are collected. From here, the customer will be redirected back to the Shopify Checkout where a shipping rate can be selected and the price will be updated accordingly before finalising the transaction.
Is this the last feature of the store you're needing to check before you launch? (Exciting!)

I will check it out and try myself. And how about discounts? Is it the same? Updated after, or there is no discount when paying with PayPal Express?

@Organiqa-D unfortunately when someone used express checkout it didn't go back and the tax was not added. We had to make a custom invoice. Only my solution helped us.

I have also just launched a new store.. and have come across the same issue??
A friend helped out and tested out with a small purchase and checked out on Paypal Express. Sadly NO shipping was added to the order, as the transaction was 'completed' without returning to the Shopify platform, for any shipping options/costs to be chosen?
I have had to remove the Paypal Express Checkout option.. which is not great, as I feel giving a large percentage of customers a Paypal Express option is quite important.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a setting I need to change?? Help!

Are you able to confirm that you have all the Shipping Rates set up and active in your store?
When customers check out with PayPal Express, it should be redirecting them to the Shopify Checkout. Have you been able to try a test checkout with PayPal Express yourself?
You are definitely correct in saying a large percentage of customers will benefit from checking out with PayPal so we want to make sure we can get that working for you!

Yes I have my shipping rates listed.. mine are based on order value for reference. I have tested and got a friend to purchase an item then checkout with Paypal Express.. Unfortunately, checkout was immediate without adding delivery.. it did not return to my shopify page.. )-: Not sure what to do??
