Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello,
I recently launched my website December 24th and have had sells weekly. I still have work to do on my website and need help. The shipping price has confused me. I have the weight of each product but the shipping does not adjust to that. I have paid the balance for many orders to buy a label. Is there anyone that can help to fix this.
Hi, @MyHealingBliss !
I'd be happy to help point you in the right direction on this. First, could you elaborate on what you'd like your shipping rates to look like or do. Then, in your reply could you also include screenshots of your current shipping rates as well a screenshot showing an example where the shipping was incorrect. That will help us determine what the issue is and come up with a plan together!
Hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Oliver,
First I'd like to say thank you for responding and now I have positive awareness that someone real is out there to help with Shopify users!!!! Since my launch I have not been able to reach anyone live or email. Secondly, the few current issues I think can be fixed easy but there are more than just shipping. My launch day was amazing and rewarding but there was a free shipping that was defaulted at launch and I didn't authorize it to be free. I didn't realize until a few days later after filling the orders, printing out the labels that I was paying for the shipping. This happened with 4 first orders. I already have a coupon at checkout til Jan. 12th! and then paying for the shipping I am loosing more on each order. Then I was able to add shipping but it was not enough funds and I paid the balance for the label anyway! Please see below the first order a customer paid for shipping $4.90, but it was not enough so I paid $3.00 extra for label.
I don't want customer to think shipping was $3.00 when they paid $4.90. When shipping really was $7.90. Now I changed the shipping to 8.25 for 0lbs-5lbs But I still don't know if it was enough. Please advise
Hi, @MyHealingBliss!
Thanks for providing me with the screenshot, it definitely helps! Using the screenshot as an example, while the customer pays shipping, it doesn't directly pay for the shipping label. It looks like the price of the shipping label here was $3.00 and the customer paid $4.90 for shipping. This would mean the customer paid enough to cover the cost of your shipping label, plus a bit extra.
A few things to keep in mind when using calculated rates like this. First, you'll want to make sure that you've added weights for all of your products in the Shopify admin. After that, you'll want to ensure you have your default package configured properly. The default package size is what's used to calculate your shipping rates.
If you have any questions or if there's anything I can look into further with you, let me know!
