How can I cancel a paid order I only intended to simulate?

Hello,

I created an order, I marked it paid, now how do I cancel it, I just wanted a simulation, the customer bought but from the shop on etsy. Please, help me!!!

Hey, @CristiPi! Welcome to Shopify Community!

 

You may go through the following steps to cancel an order.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
  2. Click the order you want to cancel.
  3. Click More actions > Cancel order.
  4. Manage any payment refunds:
    • To issue a full refund now, leave the default Refund $ value selected.
    • To issue a full or partial refund later, select Refund later.
  5. If you don't want the refunded items to be restocked in your inventory, then uncheck Restock items.
  6. Select the reason for cancellation from the drop-down menu.
  7. If you don't want to notify your customer of the cancellation, then uncheck Send a notification to the customer.
  8. Click Cancel order.

 

If this order started as a draft order and was marked as paid, you will be able to delete this order. To delete the order, you can refer to the guide below.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Orders.
  2. Click an archived or canceled order.
  3. Click Delete this order at the bottom of the page.

 

If you wish to create test orders in the future, I recommend using the Bogus Gateway or Shopify Payments on test mode so the order isn't tracked in reports and can be deleted anytime.
