How can I close my account if I've forgotten my password?

i have forgotten my password on this account that i am registered with in Shopify but i can´t find a way to close my account and subscription so that i don´t get any more bills to pay for my membership. 

Please help as soon as posible!!!

In order to close your account, you need to enter your password to confirm that it's the account owner making the decision to deactivate the store and cancel the subscription. Since you've forgotten your password, you'll need to reset this so you can enter it when you close your store.

If you still have access to your admin and are currently logged in, you can follow the steps below to reset your password.

 

  1. In your Shopify admin, click your username and account picture.
  2. Click Manage account.
  3. Click Security > Change your password.
  4. The password-reset screen opens. Enter your current password and a new password.
  5. Enter your new password again in the Confirm password field.
    • Please note you'll need to enter a different password from your old one as entering the same password will cause issues.
  6. Click Change password.
  7. Go to your Shopify login page and log in with your new password.

 

If you don't have access to your admin anymore, you can go through the login page to reset your password. You can find the steps to do this below.

 

  1. On the Shopify login page, enter your store address and click Next.
  2. Enter your login email and click Next.
  3. Click Forgot password?
  4. Enter the email that you used to create your Shopify account.
  5. Click Reset password.
  6. You're sent an email with a link to reset your password. In the email, click Reset password.
  7. Enter your new password in the Confirm password field.
    • Please note you'll need to enter a different password from your old one as entering the same password will cause issues.
  8. Click Reset password.
  9. Go back to the Shopify login page and log in with your new password.
