How can I connect a European bank to Shopify payments?

How do I connect my european bank to shopify payments, when it is asking for US routing number etc. in setup? ASAP issue, I would appreciate help, thanks.

Hello Jasminebusin,

Hope you are well! in order for you to be able to use your UK bank account, you will need to switch your address to UK so what will be offered is Shopify payments UK and not USA. You can change your address in Settings> General. For your reference: https://www.shopify.com.ph/payment-gateways/united-kingdom

Since you're being asked for a routing number for a US bank account while setting up Shopify Payments, your store address in Settings > General is likely set to a US address, just like what @Leo_SuperCo has said. Shopify Payments considers the store address in the setup and asks for details according to the country entered in the general settings.

To use Shopify Payments and connect a European bank to it, you will need to add a supported European address as your store address. You may find the Shopify Payments-supported countries and regions listed below.

• Denmark
• Germany
• Hong Kong SAR
• Ireland
• Italy
• Japan
• Netherlands
• New Zealand
• Singapore
• Spain
• Sweden
• United Kingdom
