Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi there,
I have a few customers who did not input their email addresses when placing their online orders. I am in need of contacting them concerning the orders they placed. Is their email somehow stored elsewhere within Shopify or is there another way I am able to contact them? Any and all help is much appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you for your question.
If the customer didn't leave their email address when they check out, then you're unable to find their email in the Shopify system. Fortunately, if you use Paypal as a payment gateway, you could go there directly and collect their emails by entering customer name, customer transaction ID, or invoice number.
To avoid this problem, you should set up an email address as a required option at check out.
- From Shopify admin -> Setting -> Check out.
- Scrolling down to Customer contact section and choose " Customers can only check out using email "
