How can I correctly convert my currency from CZK to EUR?

I would like to change my currency from CZK to EUR, but unfortunately the currency is converting to nonsensical amounts. Can you please unlock this option for me to set the change correctly?

Hi @Klaudie, 

When you change your currency in your store admin, it simply changes the currency symbol and does not actually make any conversions to the product value.

So I'm curious as to what nonsensical amounts you are seeing! Could you please give me a little context around this? Are you using a conversion app of some kind?

If you have already made a sale and now want to change your currency you will need to contact our support directly through our help center as we cannot access your store from the community.

We also want to make you aware of how this might impact your store moving forward. For example, when it comes to your store's reports: with changes between currencies, our reporting doesn't factor in the difference between currencies. So if you had 500 CZK processed, that would show as 500 CZK in reports. Say the next day you switch to EUR, the report would still read as 500 CZK for previous processing. Since 1CZK is not equal to 1 EUR, the reports in theory will be wrong going forward.

Similarly with Product Pricing: Since the dollar amount between currencies is not the same, a product price’s value could mean something different if the currency is adjusted, and this could impact your margins. Ex - 20 CZK, is not equal to 20 EUR. Refunds processed after a currency change will also be affected by the currency change.
