Hello I am having a lot of success using Shopify for online retail. I only have one problem that is pretty specific to my store.

- A customer can order from thursday to saturday night

-The orders are subscription based

-The customer can change their subscription every weekend

-how can I pause fulfillment so that the customer has time to edit their subscription if they would like.

This is a problem I have been having some trouble with because my store sells local produce we have a different menu that us updated every thursday. Is there anyway to pause automatic fulfillment? I know I can change it to manual fulfillment but with the amount of orders I have it takes to much time.

You can do this with Order Automator app. Here's how:

1) Turn off Shopify automatic fulfillment

2) Create fulfillment rules in Order Automator (if product contains X then request fulfillment to Location A)

3) Set a delay in processing in Order Automator (example, process order after 2 days)

Is it possible to use Order Automator to delay ShipStation from syncing orders that are awaiting fulfillment in Shopify?  We are moving to a 3PL, but we want to delay all orders placed on any day, to not show up in ShipStation until the following day at 11AM.  This gives us a chance to edit the order if needed before the 3PL sees it in ShipStation and sends it off.

Probably, just depends how ShipStation handles the order syncing, to decide what action Order Automator should take.

A common workflow people use is to disable automatic syncing with the 3PL (ShipStation here), then use Order Automator to make the fulfillment requests.

Another option, if ShipStation doesn't sync right away when the order is placed, you can use Order Automator to put the order on hold. Typically you'd set it to hold for X hours, but there's probably a way to build a customization to have them sync at a certain time if that's not possible.

I would first ask ShipStation what options they have for sync control, then contact Order Automator support (either in the app, or https://orderautomator.com/contact), share that information, and what solutions would work for you, a delay in fulfillment or a hold of fulfillment for X hours would be a quick fix, setting to 11am every day is likely doable just would involve more customization.
