How can I display total cart weight in kg on the Venture theme?

Hi. Is there a way to display the total weight (in kg) in the shopping cart? We have two shipping rates (Germany and Austria). For Austria, the shipping costs are calculated according to weight (calculated in the checkout), for Germany we offer free shipping from a cart value of 15 euros. With the total weight in the shopping cart and information about the shipping costs according to weight, the customer could see whether and what shipping costs he has to pay. So I need some liquid code to display the shipping weight (in kg) in the shopping cart and also the possibility to add an information text about the shipping structure. We use the free theme "Venture" and Basic Shopify.
