How can I enable local currency feature in Mexico without Shopify Payments?

I live in Mexico, and I need to use the "Local Currency" feature, but I can't because of the country I live in; Shopify Payments isn't available in Mexico, and it's required to manage base currency and enable local currencies. This'd quite literally kill my store; I cannot have neither USD nor MXN as my only currency. Can I do something about it? Thanks.
