How can I enable local pick up and delivery in my online store?

Good day, we have a landscape supply store using mostly instore pos systems and over the phone orders.  I would like to utilize the local pick up and delivery function that seems to only be available via the online store.  How can I make that happen?  Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hey there! Yep, you should be able to follow these instructions:

Enable local pickup in Shopify admin:

• Go to your Shopify admin dashboard.
• Navigate to "Settings" > "Shipping and delivery".
• Under the "Local pickup" section, you'll find a list of your locations that are eligible for local pickup. Click "Manage" beside the location you want to enable pickup for.
• Turn on "This location offers local pickup".
• Customize your pickup settings, including instructions for customers on how and when they can pick up their orders.
• Click "Save".

And for local delivery:

• From the Shopify admin, go to "Settings" > "Shipping and delivery".
• Under the "Local delivery" section for the location you want to enable delivery for, click "Manage".
• Turn on "This location offers local delivery".
• Set up your delivery area, either by specifying zip/postal codes or by setting a delivery radius.
• Specify your delivery price, minimum order price (if applicable), and delivery lead times.
