Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Greetings
I am trying to move my brick and mortar store online, and am very overwhelmed with all the freight options. We currently use Loomis Express and LTL carriers. The LTL Carriers are all quoted over the phone. We have some items that are boxed and ship courier, but the majority of our product is a bunch of pieces that are stacked on skids, wrapped and shipped. We also ship Canada-wide, so I can't even do a simple percentage. I know it's not ideal from a user experience, but it would be easiest to just had a request a freight quote option, that would email us and we could respond with a manual quote before they checkout. I am overwhelmed with the hundreds of freight quote apps. Should I hire a shopify expert, if so I don't even know what to ask for in the job posting.
Is there a simple request a freight quote option, that doesn't have a significant per month cost or hidden fees?
Hi @JeremyP !
What we recommend to our clients is to have a "Request Quote" button instead of giving them the ability to checkout. That way once you receive the email request from the user, you can create the order form the backend and send them the invoice with the correct shipping quote you would have gotten and you can then process the order.
Let me know if that's a solution that would work for you!
