How can I fix payment issues on my online store?

my customers receive this message at the checkout process: ' this store can't accept real order or real payment'

 

How can resolve this?

Hey @Racines!

 

Thanks for reaching out, and I am sorry to hear about your customer's experience.

 

There can be a multitude of reasons which are stated below which can cause this behavior

 

  1. Is your payment gateway in test mode in Settings > Payments?
  2. Was the store previously on a developer store plan?
  3. Are you using Stripe, and it has not been set up fully yet or in test mode?

I would recommend if you have test mode enabled to switch it off and ask the customer to retry the payment, learn how to deactivate test mode here.  If that does not do the trick, then I would recommend retrieving an abandoned checkout for this issue and getting in touch with our support at this link to help resolve the issue. They will be more than happy to look into your account for you and help you get back on track!

 

By the way, are you using Shopify Payments? You can use Shopify Payments, which gives a great checkout experience for your customers. It also offers them the ability to pay by credit card, use Google and Apple Pay, and also when it's enabled you don't pay any transaction fees which will save you money!
