Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Please help! I just got my first sale but need to fulfill it with a different supplier than the supplier that the product is listed through. To be more specific... In my orders tab I'm only given the option to fulfill the order with Oberlo since that is who I used when I originally listed the item... but their shipping is way too long and the expedited shipping they offer is too expensive so I need to fulfill it through CJ Dropshipping instead. However, I don't see a way to do that and am afraid that if I order through CJ and then just upload the tracking (the only way that I'd think or know how), that the order will still be considered unfulfilled since I didn't go through the proper sales channel. Has anybody else ever encountered this same problem before or at least know of a resolution that doesn't involve me having to refund/cancel the sale? I'm completely new to this and don't want to lose all credibility by involving the customer over what I would assume should be an easy fix.
Hi @briannaalyse,
Can I ask if you are set up with any other dropshipping parties other than Oberlo? In this instance it might be the case that because you are signed up for your products via Oberlo, that's the only place you can fulfill this specific product from.
Have you connected CJ Dropshipping to your Shopify store? Can you check for me if the same product can be fulfilled via CJ Dropshipping also. Without knowing more information it's difficult to know what's going on or the best next step. Can you reach out to one of our support advisors by logging in here and they can verify your details and take a closer look into this with you in real time! It might also be worth reaching out to Oberlo support directly to see what they about the product:

Thanks for replying! 🙂 Yes, I am set up with CJ Dropshipping and it's connected to my store. They also have the product in stock and I've reached out to their customer support for help, just waiting to hear back from them. I believe I figured out how to fulfill it with them instead of Oberlo but my problem now is that I deleted the original product listing and created a new listing through CJ so that I wouldn't have this same issue with any future orders.. but I suspect it's because of this that the order when I synced it (on their website) got transferred to the invalid orders tab (on my CJ, not on shopify) , and from here I again can't figure out how to fulfill the order. So I'm not sure if there's any way that you can still help me 😞
Thanks for explaining that @briannaalyse, I have a better idea of what you mean exactly now.
In saying that though, I would need to take a look into your store admin to truly see and understand what your next step should be. I'm wondering if deleting the order and starting a new one from scratch via a draft order could be the easiest and most effective way forward. Do you think that would be possible? If not, don't hesitate to speak to one of our advisors by logging in here. By doing that, the advisor can look into your store admin with you in real time and provide a suggestion too! We're unable to look into account specific's via the community.
