Hi @AnthonyAbboud96.

Thanks for getting in touch, and I would be more than happy to help out here.

In regard to getting a refund, this is not something that we offer. As per our Terms Of Service here, section 14 point 10, Shopify does not provide refunds. With that being said, there are some circumstances where our billing team may be able to review your account and determine whether you are eligible for a refund. Given the information you have provided, we may be able to help. If you feel you should be eligible and have a unique circumstance worth looking at, I would suggest getting in touch with our support teams at this link so that we can take a look at your account further. While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit the above link and log in to your account to create a support request.

You had mentioned you had issues with your payment options and this is why you want to stop using Shopify. May I ask have you explored other payment options? I would love to help you out with continuing on with your store and would hate to see you go, so let me know if there is any way that I can help with that!

Since this is the next step, I've marked this reply as the solution for the benefit of others who may discover this topic. Thanks!

Hello @Maz

I appreciate your response

I love shopify and already I chose it between many other website builder.

But since I live in Lebanon, I just have one BEST option for payments and it's a "Simplify Account with Bank of Beirut" and since they told me that at the end of February there will be a problem to get payments from MasterCard. And that will be a big problem for my business since all my clients will be in a region that MasterCard and VISA cards are dominant.

So due to this issue, I would love to get back my money if Possible. My account is "AnthonyAbboud96" where my visa card is registered.

Waiting for your response and a refund.

Thank you very much.

Best regards,

Thank you, Anthony ABBOUD.

Hi @AnthonyAbboud96!

Thank you for your response. Have you explored alternative payment providers from our list of gateways for Lebanon here? It might be worth having a look at!

In regard to your refund on your subscription, this is not something I am not able to look at via the community forums as we do not have access to your store or Shopify account from here. Please visit our support portal here and log in to your account to create a support request. Our team will be able to take a closer look at your account for you and possible refund options. Thanks!

Dear Shopify team. My admin name is xayaysiis store.Around 30 days back I created a Shopify account, and I didn’t work on it. I was testing shopify and just wanted to learn how it worked,Today I received a message That I have been charged $29 for my monthly basic plan. I had just forgotten to cancel the account. Please refund my money. I'm a student and I really need this money. Thank you for your kind consideration. Yours Sincerely.

Hi @khadarjama and welcome!

Thanks for reaching out on this post. In your case, as you didn't cancel your subscription, the charge for your subscription would have been valid here. As mentioned previously on this post, Shopify does not offer refunds, as per our Terms Of Service here, section 14 point 10. With that being said, you can always reach out to our support team to check on this further, and they may be able to help you with a refund. At this time, we are unable to provide account specific support via the forums as we are unable to access accounts from here, we’d be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. You can log a support request via our support portal here for assistance with your query. They can also help you close your store so that you won't be billed going forward or alternatively, learn how to close your store here at this link!

I hope this helps!

I am also needing a refund on my Shopify plan. I only wanted to try it out and I guess I forgot to cancel it… and it charged me. My store is currently deactivated

Hey @Lucaszoesch!

Thanks for hopping on this thread.

As mentioned in the thread above, Shopify does not guarantee refunds, however in order to get a possible refund you would need to get in touch with our live support teams here at this link.

We do not have access to accounts or stores from the forums here ourselves, so we wouldn't be able to advise here. This would be your best bet in getting a possible refund.

Let me know if you have any questions!
