Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hello, does anyone have any insight on using google shipping properly in merchant center? I was recently suspended because my shipping prices didn't match, but once I removed the weight from my Default Package in Shopify it was reactivated. With the holiday season I'm afraid to alter anything now until after Christmas because I can not risk being shut out again. Is there a way to put the default shipping weight of the package into google so the weights match up? Im currently taking a hit because it is not factoring at least 7oz because of the shipping materials and people are paying first class and I end up paying for priority because its over the pound limit for First.
Depending on what your app is, the shipping weight is collected from the product item weight. Go to Shopify > products > weight.
And make sure this is correct.
Thank you for the reply. I am aware of the product weights but the packaging material is not being factored into the rates. Would I just add 7oz(box, bubble, paper) to each product or is there a way in google to do that as a rule? In Shopify you add weight to your default package but it doesn’t factor it into googles calculations. So it doesn’t match the rates.
You can use feed rules to add a value. Products > Feeds > click on your feed > feed rules > type in weight > choose shipping weight > click on add modification > more actions
