Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
Hi everyone...
I need help with setting up shipping, delivery, etc., properly. I can only watch so many videos or online searching before a migraine sets in so I'm hoping to get a simplified answer/walkthrough on how to set up. There is a lot of confusion between all the apps and what should be used for this print on demand process. I use Printify for my product designs. I know they handle the shipping process but there seems to be a disconnect when it comes to my shipping policy (which needs major updating) and I want to make sure I'm giving customers the correct information. I'm starting to build traffic to my website and people have reached checkout but falls off and no sales have been processed. I don't believe that my products are overpriced so I feel that it has to do with the shipping/delivery section of it. To make it easier, I would like to offer flat rate shipping. Does anyone have a template for this along with a shipping policy template as well? I do have a few integrated sales channels to promote my products but one universal policy would be great. Thank you!
If you're having trouble hooking something up for an app, like Printify, I would contact them. They likely have helped their users do the same thing you're looking to do, and they want you to be successful, so they will likely help you set up your shipping.
If that doesn't solve your problem, it might be more valuable to hire someone to set this up for you and give advice on specific customizations based on your logistics, save you the time - https://www.shopify.com/partners/directory has options, or if you wanted a recommendation feel free to PM me I don't do stuff like this anymore but have people in my network that do.
If you prefer to spend the time instead, I would do 2 things:
1) Set up a shipping rate for 1 product, the documentation shows you how to do that: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/shipping/setting-up-and-managing-your-shipping/setting-up-shippin...
2) Now go through the checkout process and ensure you can checkout with that product to the location you are wanting to ship to. If yes, boom all good, now add the rest of your products. If you don't have the option, it means you do not have that product assigned to the country and shipping rate you created.
Yet another option, if your situation is unique and that documentation link doesn't solve it, post in the forums exactly what you are trying to do (step by step, what you've done, where you're stuck, include screenshots), someone should be able to help you.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. This is very useful information and it's appreciated. I ended up hiring a Shopify partner and hoping they'll be able to figure it out soon. I don't believe it's a Printify issue but who knows at this point. If not, then you might receive a contact from me! Lol! Take care...
