Accepting credit cards, warehouses, and shipping and fulfilling orders
How do I get my money back if I ordered a product but then didn’t receive the product and now it’s pretty clear it was fraud. The website on the product I bought does not open to a real website now. It has been over a month since I ordered this product.
Hi, @Mzutaut
Thanks for posting your concern to the Shopify Community.
These situations are absolutely frustrating. If you believe to be a victim of fraud, and the website is now gone, it sounds as though the platform has already banned the site and merchant.
The best thing to do in this situation is to dispute the charge with your bank. The bank then pulls the funds directly from the merchant's bank account to investigate, while the merchant has to prove you received your order. Since they're unable to do that, you would receive your funds back.
In the case the business isn't taken down, and you believe to be a victim of fraud, you can follow the steps in this document to report the business to Shopify.
