How can I resolve unclickable 'Continue Account Setup' button for payments?

I just received an email that is attached and notice that I also have this message on my Shopify. My question is how do I fix this? I tried to edit my Shopify payments as the store owner and I cannot...for some reason the "Continue Account Setup" button is not clickable for me. I then went into my developer account and tried to fix that but nothing worked.

Is there anything I can do? I have attached both notifications and the button when I have the page filled out fully.

Hello @Chandler5!

Thank you for including the screenshots. Could you please confirm what plan your store is currently on? If you are a development store, you may be seeing this as Shopify Payments may only be used in test mode on development store. I have the info on this for you here

However, if you are not using a development store, I suggest you try some local troubleshooting steps to see if this will resolve it:

  • Using the Google Chrome browser, go to clear your cache and cookies by following these steps here, then try to finish the setup again.
  • Reset your internet - sometimes network errors can cause similar issues.
  • Try this on an alternative device, i.e. if you are currently on desktop, try to do this on mobile.

If the issue persists, you may need to get in touch with our support here so that we can take a closer look at this for you. The reason that I am redirecting you to that link is because at the moment it is not possible for me to look into your account details via the Shopify Community.

I also wanted to mention that in the case that you're using a development store, you will be unable to make sales until you have chosen one of our available plans. Please take a look at this link, and do let me know a little bit more about your business to see if there is anything else that I can help you with.

I see! Thanks for clarifying that. If you have already tried the troubleshooting steps that I mentioned above and it is still not working, please do go ahead and contact us here as this may be something that we need to take a closer look at for you.

Unfortunately I tried all the recommended troubleshoots and nothing worked for me.

Is there any possible way that someone can just remove Shopify Payments from the store for now for me?

Nothing I do has worked so far and I never directly set up Shopify Payments in the first place.

Sorry to hear that the above solutions did not help. If you are set on removing Shopify Payments from your store, you should be able to do this on your end, however please let me know if this is not the case.

You need to go to Settings > Payments and click the Manage button on the Shopify Payments section, which should look like this:

11-50-99866-709

From here, you will need to scroll down to the very bottom and you will see the Deactivate button. Let me know if this does not work for you, and if not, please send a screenshot of what you're seeing at that point!
