How can I set a default shipping service?

Hi.  Is there a way to select a default shipping service.  For example, today we batch shipped 50 orders and didn't realize they were all shipped out USPS priority mail, charging 8.80 average per package.  I would like the default service to me USPS frist class mail for @2.40 an average package.  I lost money today we are are in the business of making money right?  Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi,

I'm not completely sure if this will work. But yes, you can try selecting only one service while you add the rates and select the under shipping zones settings. If you uncheck the "Automatically show new shipping services to customers when they become available", I hope other services won't automatically show up and all your orders might go with the selected service (Please correct me if I'm wrong!).
